Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”

Position

Asked by Lone Star Left whether she supports ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human rights abuses, including Israel and Egypt, she answered: “Yes. Human rights can’t be negotiable, and they shouldn’t come with a US taxpayer subsidy attached — that includes Israel and Egypt. I support ending military aid to any government engaged in ongoing human rights abuses” (August 2026). A Houston-born real estate agent running on education, a living wage and healthcare, she is the TX-8 Democratic nominee for the open seat against Jessica Steinmann.

Why this tier

A 3/4, on one answer. She names Israel herself: human rights “shouldn’t come with a US taxpayer subsidy attached — that includes Israel and Egypt. I support ending military aid to any government engaged in ongoing human rights abuses” (August 2026). That accepts ending Israel’s military aid, but as a general rule tied to ongoing abuses, in one questionnaire answer, with nothing on Gaza, the genocide or defensive systems: past a supportive-but-critical 3, short of the fuller record a clean 4 needs. Counter-case: 4, since unlike a bare yes she names Israel in her own words.
