Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”
Her campaign’s foreign-policy plank pledges to “Oppose sending U.S. military aid, weapons, and tax dollars to fund foreign conflicts and violence like we see in Gaza and instead redirect our domestic taxpayer funds toward the basic needs of children and people at home,” and attacks Steve Scalise’s “substantial support from pro-Israel PACs like AIPAC.” A special-education teacher, union member and member of New Orleans DSA since 2023, she is on the November 3 majority-vote ballot against Scalise; the same plank backs war-powers limits on the Iran war and Ukraine’s sovereignty.
A 3/4, on a thin record: one line on her campaign site and a few campaign posts. Her foreign-policy plank would “Oppose sending U.S. military aid, weapons, and tax dollars to fund foreign conflicts and violence like we see in Gaza,” a cut-off with no carve-out for defensive systems, and it faults the incumbent, Steve Scalise, for his “substantial support from pro-Israel PACs like AIPAC.” But the line sits in a general anti-war plank and names Gaza rather than Israel, and her July 2026 pledge to “Stop funding forever wars and bankrolling genocide” names neither Israel nor Gaza; she has taken no embargo or Iron Dome position, and her DSA membership is context, not a position. Counter-case: a 4, if the line is read as an Israel-specific end to military aid.
