Lisa Ballay

I · U.S. House, LA-2 · not rated

Position

No documented position on aid or weapons to Israel found. The Libertarian in LA-2’s November 3 open primary, a nurse with more than 25 years in healthcare running on healthcare costs, the cost of living and Louisiana’s fair share of federal money. The campaign site’s “Israel and Gaza” entry reads: “Lisa’s foreign-policy framework applies here as it does everywhere: protect civilians, avoid unnecessary American military entanglement, and demand clear objectives for any U.S. involvement. She has not adopted a detailed platform on this conflict, and she will not adopt one because a questionnaire asked her to.”

Why not rated

Not rated: the campaign site applies a general framework to Israel and Gaza and declines a detailed position. At the October 5, 2026 Baton Rouge Press Club forum, asked about foreign policy, Ballay said “we spend too much money in the foreign policy, giving out blank checks” and “we need to stop policing the world”, naming no country. No Ballotpedia survey, and iVoterGuide’s 2026 question on Israel was left unanswered. Unrated until a position is stated.
