Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
House Republican Conference Chair since 2025, whose Israel record is votes and statements: she voted for both Israel-only supplementals (H.R.6126, Nov 2023, of which she was an original cosponsor; H.R.7217, Feb 2024), the April 2024 package (H.R.8034), both ICC-sanctions bills, H.Res.894, the censure of Rashida Tlaib and the September 2026 college anti-boycott bill, against the 2025 Greene and 2026 Massie amendments to cut Israel’s military aid, and did not vote on the May 2024 bill forcing delivery of the paused bomb shipment (H.R.8369). She tied her October 2023 Iran Nuclear Verification Act to the moment “as Israel defends itself against Hamas,” and on the second anniversary of October 7 said “America must always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel, our greatest ally in the fight against terror” (Oct 2025). At 2025 Education and Workforce hearings on campus antisemitism she pressed university presidents over how long they took “to disassemble an encampment” (May 2025). In January 2024 she signed the Smith–Manning letter, whose signers “thoroughly reject” South Africa’s “charge of genocide” against Israel.
A 1/2, not a clean 1. The votes are zero-daylight apart from one missed roll call, and her statements stay inside the frame of Israel defending itself, with no word on Palestinian civilians, which rules out a flat 2. There is no leadership on Israel: her Iran bill is about the nuclear deal rather than Israel, her campus-antisemitism questioning is committee work, and her Conference Chair post is party leadership, not an Israel role. Counter-case: none of substance in either direction.
