Tier 4, “Critical / conditions aid”
A computer scientist and the Libertarian nominee for Michigan's open Senate seat. Her campaign's issue page “Ending U.S. Complicity in Gaza” says UN-appointed experts, genocide scholars and human rights groups “concluded that Israel has committed genocidal acts in Gaza” and that “I find their conclusion credible,” and pledges: “I would vote against continued military aid to Israel until there is independent verification of compliance with the Genocide Convention and full, unrestricted humanitarian access into Gaza.” She would also force congressional votes on major arms sales to Israel and oppose “Section 219 of the NDAA, which merges U.S. and Israeli military supply chains,” while saying “This isn't about abandoning an ally.”
A flat 4. She pledges to vote against all continued military aid to Israel, with no carve-out for defensive systems, until compliance with the Genocide Convention is independently verified — a withholding stance past conditioning offensive arms — and backs it with concrete steps: forced congressional votes on arms sales, enforcement of the Leahy Law, and opposition to merging U.S. and Israeli supply chains. What keeps it at 4 rather than 4/5 is the framing: she adopts others' finding of “genocidal acts” as credible rather than naming the genocide in her own voice, calls the cutoff “not a permanent position” but “a condition,” leaves arms sales to a vote rather than blocking them, and insists “This isn't about abandoning an ally.” Counter-case: 4/5 if “I find their conclusion credible” is read as naming the genocide; the stance rests on one platform page, so a clean 5 is not in play.
