Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
An immigrant businessman, he goes by Max. Asked by iVoterGuide in his 2024 race whether the U.S.-Israel relationship matters, he answered “Yes, Israel is the only model democracy in a geographical swamp of authoritarian rule”; his 2026 platform warns against Sharia and says “too much foreign aid never reaches the people it’s meant to help.” In his 2026 general-election iVoterGuide questionnaire he answered: “Absolutely. Israel is a vital strategic ally of the United States in the Middle East and a vibrant democracy in a volatile region,” adding that “A strong Israel also helps deter hostile regimes and terrorist organizations.”
A 1/2, on a thin record. His two statements on Israel, iVoterGuide answers from 2024 and 2026, are unqualified endorsements of the relationship — Israel as “the only model democracy” in the region and “a vital strategic ally” whose strength “helps deter hostile regimes and terrorist organizations” — with no concern for Palestinian civilians and no daylight, which is the 1/2 shape; with no office, legislation or Israel brand there is no route to a clean 1. The counterweight is general: in the same questionnaire he picked the option that the U.S. is “too involved in others' policies,” and his 2026 platform is skeptical of foreign aid, but neither names Israel, so neither moves him toward the critical end. Open to NR until he states a position on aid or arms.
