Tier 1, “Firmly pro-Israel”

Position

Illinois Republican who answered Biden’s October 2023 address by attacking his aid to Gaza — “Biden is also sending $100 million to Gaza, which is controlled by the Hamas terrorists”, “His plan is to fund both sides of the war in Israel” — and declared “I stand in support of Israel”. She voted for every tracked Israel measure she was present for: the November 2023 and February 2024 Israel-only supplementals, the April 2024 aid package, censuring Tlaib, H.Res.894, the Antisemitism Awareness Act, the bill forcing delivery of paused weapons and the June 2024 ICC-sanctions bill, and against the Greene (2025) and Massie (2026) cuts to Israel’s military aid; she did not vote on the January 2025 ICC bill or the September 2026 anti-boycott bill. She was an original cosponsor of H.Res.1057, “Denouncing calls for a cease-fire in Gaza” (March 2024), and in April 2026 cosponsored the bill to list CAIR as a terrorist group (H.R.8236).

Why this tier

A 1, on a pattern of measures aimed at Americans calling for a ceasefire, at the U.S. group CAIR and at Palestinians. She was an original cosponsor of H.Res.1057, “Denouncing calls for a cease-fire in Gaza” (March 2024), which denounces the ceasefire demands of “progressive interest groups” and condemns calls for a Palestinian state; one of three original cosponsors of the GAZA Act (H.R.8629, June 2024), barring entry to holders of Palestinian Authority passports; the only original cosponsor of a bill to designate UNRWA a terrorist organization (H.R.7206, February 2024); and of a bill barring U.S. assistance for programs in Gaza and the West Bank (H.R.6060, October 2023). In April 2026 she cosponsored a bill listing CAIR and its chapters as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (H.R.8236). Wherever she voted the record is zero-daylight, and her one Gaza statement cast humanitarian aid as a plan “to fund both sides of the war in Israel.” Counter-case: a 1/2. Other members wrote all of these measures, and her public profile is the border, Title IX and spending rather than Israel.
