Matt Little
D · U.S. House, MN-2 · Tier 4/5
Tier 4/5, between “Critical / conditions aid” and “Critical on most positions”
His campaign’s Israel page says Israel’s response “has now crossed the line from justifiable self-defense to disproportionate, inhumane acts of genocide” and that “the United States must end all military aid and weapons sales to Israel” to secure compliance with the peace agreement, humanitarian access, the rebuilding of Gaza, an end to settlements and a two-state solution; at a July 2026 primary debate he backed an embargo “on the sale of all weapons to Israel” (per Jewish Insider). He refuses AIPAC money. As a Minnesota state senator in April 2017 he voted for the state’s anti-BDS contracting law (HF 400, passed 57–8). At an October 12, 2026 debate with Eric Pratt he said the U.S. should “immediately leave Iran” because “we were led into that war by Benjamin Netanyahu.”
A 4/5. The cutoff is full and in his own words twice: his campaign page says “the United States must end all military aid and weapons sales to Israel,” with no defensive carve-out, and at a July 2026 debate he called for an embargo “on the sale of all weapons to Israel,” per Jewish Insider. The page names the genocide; he refuses AIPAC money. Two things hold him half a tier short of 5. The frame: the page says Israel’s response “has now crossed the line from justifiable self-defense to disproportionate, inhumane acts of genocide,” accepting the war as self-defense until then, and sets the cutoff as leverage toward a two-state solution. And his record: as a Minnesota state senator in April 2017 he voted for the state’s anti-BDS contracting law (HF 400, passed 57–8), and in July 2025 he wrote that “Israel has a right to defend itself and its security,” then in August backed only a resolution “to stop certain offensive arms sales to Israel.” Counter-case: 5, on the all-weapons embargo, twice in his own words.
