Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”
Green Party Senate nominee, a Raleigh-born retired schoolteacher and Marine veteran who ran for NC-2 in 2024. In his 2024 News & Observer questionnaire he said “Currently, the top priority is to stop the genocide in Gaza and other areas around the globe,” and his 2024 Ballotpedia survey protested that “We can afford to give BILLIONS every year to support an Apartheid State of Israel.”
A 3/4, on a thin record: two 2024 questionnaire answers from his House run and his party’s 2026 candidate profile. He named the genocide in his own voice — “Currently, the top priority is to stop the genocide in Gaza and other areas around the globe” — and protested that “We can afford to give BILLIONS every year to support an Apartheid State of Israel,” which points toward ending that support. But both are framed as priorities, with no pledge of his own to end military aid or stop arms. His own 2026 platform page does not mention Israel, Gaza or the genocide, but the North Carolina Green Party’s 2026 candidate profile, which Smarter.Vote follows, says his platform includes “ending U.S. funding for genocide abroad while redirecting those resources to housing, healthcare, and education at home”; that is the party’s summary of his platform, not his own words, and it does not name Israel. No anti-Zionist, BDS or right-of-return position. Counter-case: a 4, if the 2024 objection to the billions is read as a step to end the aid.
