Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”
A March 2026 campaign post against the U.S. war with Iran notes “over $16 billion in direct military aid to Israel” since October 2023 and says “We are funding a war for a country that guarantees healthcare to its citizens while we are cutting healthcare for our own. Does this sound like America first?”, without calling for the aid to end; the same post says Speaker Johnson “said Israel was determined to act on its own timeline” and that “That timetable has now become our timetable.” A Navy veteran, former park ranger and Presidential Management Fellow (NOAA, with a State Department rotation), the TN-6 Democratic nominee for the open seat opposes the U.S. war with Iran.
A 3, on a thin record: one March 2026 campaign post against the U.S. war with Iran, which names military aid to Israel: “Since October 2023, we have sent over $16 billion in direct military aid to Israel,” and “We are funding a war for a country that guarantees healthcare to its citizens while we are cutting healthcare for our own. Does this sound like America first?” He adds that “Real strength is protecting your own people’s health and pockets before funding the ambitions of a foreign military.” That is an objection to aid aimed at Israel, argued on cost and America First grounds, but he names no condition, cut or end to the aid, and his campaign site, 2025 Ballotpedia survey and the Nashville Banner’s July 2026 questionnaire never address Gaza or Palestinians. Ballotpedia lists him as affiliated with Veterans for Peace. Counter-cases: 3/4, reading “before funding the ambitions of a foreign military” as a call to stop the aid; or 2/3, since he proposes no step on aid or weapons and says nothing of Israel’s conduct.
