Mike Sell

I · U.S. House, FL-4 · not rated

Position

Asked in a September 2026 Clay County Speaks interview whether he supports AIPAC and would accept its money, he said no, adding that “it’s things like requiring conditions to sell weapons to some of our allies,” that “being silent is less about being complicit and more about being an accomplice,” and that “one of those things should be conditions for some of our allies to get additional weapons”; he did not name Israel, but in the same exchange said “There can be criticisms for human rights violations or war crimes even without indicting an entire race or country.” A healthcare operations specialist from a Navy family, on the Florida Forward Party line in FL-4, he lists “Divest from overseas conflicts” among his priorities, and his platform’s defense plank calls for enforcing the Arms Export Control Act, the Foreign Assistance Act and the Leahy Law, which it calls “Already law, not being enforced” — without naming any country.

Why not rated

Not rated: his written anti-war and arms-law lines name no country, and his Substack mentions Israel only as a party to the “US-Israel war on Iran”; his one answer on the question, in a September 2026 interview about AIPAC, calls for conditions on weapons sales to “some of our allies” without naming Israel. Checked: his campaign site, its 4Ps platform hub (including the Department of Defense plank), his 2026 Ballotpedia survey and iVoterGuide answers, the interviews and talks his site links, and his Substack archive (56 posts, May–October 2026).
