Tier 4, “Critical / conditions aid”

Position

Letcher County archaeologist running as an independent on FDR-style economics, Medicare for All and flood recovery. His 2026 Ballotpedia survey calls to “halt military support for other countries, such as Israel, that commit genocide or other crimes against humanity,” alongside de-funding U.S. military action against Iran and de-funding ICE, with the money redirected to communities at home and humanitarian aid abroad.

Why this tier

A 4, on a thin record: one answer in his April 2026 Ballotpedia survey. In it he calls to “halt military support for other countries, such as Israel, that commit genocide or other crimes against humanity,” beside de-funding U.S. military action against Iran and de-funding ICE. That is an end to U.S. military support for Israel argued on its conduct, with Israel named, in his own words, as a state that commits genocide. But it is a single survey line from a first-time challenger, written as a rule for any country that commits atrocities, with Israel as the example, and his campaign site’s policy pages, including its Security page, do not mention Israel. Nothing else from him on Israel, Gaza or Palestine was found. Counter-cases: 4/5, since “halt military support” carves out no defensive systems and reads as a full cutoff beside the genocide; or 3/4, if one survey line is too thin to carry a 4.
