Paul Wikstrom

R · U.S. House, MN-4 · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

An engineering manager and longtime Republican activist from Shoreview, he runs on fraud prevention, taxes and deregulation. Asked in his 2026 general-election questionnaire for iVoterGuide whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he answered: “Yes. Israel has been a strong ally in the Middle East and the U.S. - Israeli relationship is important to stability in that region.” He gave much the same answer in his 2024 and 2025 Minnesota House questionnaires: “Yes. Our relationship with Israel is important to stability in the Mideast.”

Why this tier

A 1/2, on a thin record: questionnaire answers to iVoterGuide in 2024, 2025 and 2026. Asked by iVoterGuide in 2026 whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Wikstrom called Israel “a strong ally in the Middle East.” That is unqualified support, with nothing on aid, weapons, Gaza or Palestinian civilians. His campaign site (home, about, solutions, media) and his 2026 Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey have no foreign-policy content at all. There is no leadership on the issue: no vote, bill or other act on Israel is on record. Counter-case: unrated until he says more.
