He authored the Stop Support for Hamas Act (a permanent UNRWA funding ban plus an Economic Support Funds freeze for Gaza/West Bank), confronted Blinken for conditioning aid to Israel, opposes BDS, and joined the October 2024 Senate Republican resolution that, in his office’s words, would “support the forever survival of Israel.”

He wrote his own legislation on the issue, the Stop Support for Hamas Act (permanent UNRWA defunding, a freeze on Economic Support Funds for Gaza and the West Bank, tighter Taylor Force Act certification), sits on Foreign Relations, and confronted Blinken over conditioning aid to Israel. He opposes BDS, has voted against every Senate resolution to block an arms sale to Israel, and no statement of his voicing concern for Palestinian civilians was found; he has said that “Hamas is responsible for everybody who died on October 7th and everybody who has died since then because they started this war” (January 2024), and his push to cut UNRWA and Gaza aid runs the other way.
