Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”
Her campaign site carries a short Israel and Palestine plank in her own voice: "I support a two-state solution. Both Israel and Palestine deserve to exist. I would not vote to send or sell weapons to any country except for purely self-defense. Candidates should not take campaign contributions from foreign governments or foreign governments' PACs." A separate War plank says "US military power should be reserved for self-defense." Nothing on the genocide in Gaza specifically. She won the May 2026 Democratic primary and faces Sen. Capito.
A 3, on a thin record: one short plank on her campaign site. Under the heading “Israel and Palestine” she writes “I support a two-state solution. Both Israel and Palestine deserve to exist,” and “I would not vote to send or sell weapons to any country except for purely self-defense.” Under that heading, it is a refusal to supply Israel with offensive weapons, sold or given, while keeping defensive arms: a limit on weapons, not an end to aid. The same plank says candidates “should not take campaign contributions from foreign governments or foreign governments’ PACs,” and a separate War plank says “US military power should be reserved for self-defense.” She names neither Gaza nor the genocide and says nothing of Israel’s conduct. Counter-cases: 3/4, since the refusal reaches every weapon not purely for self-defense, sold or given; or 2/3, since the pledge is worded for “any country” and could be read as a general rule rather than a position on Israel.
