Ralph Groves

Position

No position on U.S. support for Israel found. A retired Army major (Iraq War) and former Defense Intelligence Agency analyst (West Africa, then Iran) who chaired the Libertarian Party of Orange County, he is billed on his site as “your anti-war candidate” and pairs non-intervention with more funding for U.S. defense industries; his homepage’s anti-war panel says he “urges negotiations between Israel and regional Islamists (Hamas, Hezbollah) via Jordan, which has relations with Israel and Islamists.” Elsewhere on his site Israel appears as an armed-citizen example in his gun-rights paper, as the target of Iran’s proxies that “continue to endanger Israel” in a letter on Iran, and as a possible member of a Ukraine cease-fire task force in a November 2025 letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Why not rated

Not rated: nothing he has said takes a position on U.S. support for Israel; on the conflict itself he urges negotiations between Israel and Hamas and Hezbollah through Jordan. Checked his campaign site's home, biography, mission, position papers, letters, resolutions and press releases: besides that negotiations line, the Israel mentions are an armed-citizen example in a gun-rights paper, a line in a letter on Iran’s revolution noting that Iran’s proxies endanger Israel, Israel as a possible member of a Ukraine cease-fire task force, and his having visited Israel; his foreign-policy plank is general non-intervention (an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine, no military intervention in Iran). Unrated until a position is stated.
