Randy Weber

R · U.S. House, TX-14 · Tier 1

Tier 1, “Firmly pro-Israel”

Position

Writes Israel legislation: he introduced H.Res.346 (Apr 2023), reaffirming U.S. support for “our strongest ally in the region, Israel,” and the BIRD Health Act (H.R.4473, Jul 2025) to create a U.S.–Israel health research program, and was a Republican co-lead of the Countering Antisemitism Act (H.R.7921, Apr 2024). Backing the November 2023 supplemental he said “The jihadist terror organization Hamas will stop at nothing to eradicate every single Israeli” and that he was “proud to stand with Israel to ensure our ally has what it needs to defend itself, in its fight to permanently eliminate the terrorist threat.” He has voted for every tracked Israel measure he was present for — the 2023–24 aid bills, H.Res.894, the May 2024 bill forcing delivery of the arms Biden paused, both ICC-sanctions bills and the September 2026 anti-boycott bill — and against the 2025 Greene and 2026 Massie cuts, and he is a member of the Abraham Accords Caucus. Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Weber answered: “Israel is GOD's chosen people and as the Scripture says: "The apple of His Eye." They are our best ally in the Middle East & pretty much around the world. They are also the stabilizing force in the Middle East. I support ALL efforts to support and protect Israel from terrorists and all of the evil regimes seeking to destroy Israel. Additionally, antisemitism has no place in this world.” In January 2024 he signed the Smith–Manning letter, whose signers “thoroughly reject” South Africa’s “charge of genocide” against Israel.

Why this tier

A clean 1, narrowly. Weber does more than vote: he authors Israel legislation — a 2023 resolution of support for Israel and a 2025 U.S.–Israel health-research bill — and co-led the 2024 Countering Antisemitism Act, alongside a voting record with no daylight and no expressed concern for Palestinian civilians. Counter-case: a 1/2 if these are read as cooperation and symbolic measures rather than leadership on the war itself — he wrote nothing on arms or Gaza, and his rhetoric, while absolute (“permanently eliminate the terrorist threat”), is not a brand of hardline statements.
