Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”
Says in her own voice that the US should stop sending military aid for the Gaza campaign — “I don’t think that we should send more military aid to the Netanyahu government invasion,” and “I don’t think that taxpayer dollars should be going to fund the killing of children” — while affirming Israel’s right to defend itself and welcoming the ceasefire. Rejects AIPAC backing (“I’ve never taken any money from AIPAC. Derrick Van Orden is the only AIPAC-endorsed candidate in this race”) while defending her J Street endorsement. Sanders- and J-Street-endorsed; would vote Mamdani if she lived in NYC. She took $5,000 from Democratic Majority for Israel’s PAC in 2024, in three contributions (June, September and November), and stops short of calling Gaza a genocide.
A 3. It rests on her own halt-military-aid position — a step toward withholding arms, stated in her own words — plus saying she would vote for Mamdani if she lived in NYC. She holds at 3 rather than more critical because she affirms Israel’s right to defend itself, avoids ‘genocide,’ and welcomed the ceasefire — one conditioning step, hedged. FEC shows $5,000 from DMFI PAC in three 2024 contributions; a matching DMFI endorsement is not documented on DMFI PAC endorsement releases or its candidate list, so the contribution is what stands. Her Oct 2025 statement — “I’ve never taken any money from AIPAC” — is true and about AIPAC only. Her July 2026 campaign release goes wider — “I have not taken a cent from special interest groups like AIPAC or any corporate PACs” — a claim the unreturned $5,000 in DMFI contributions sits badly against, though DMFI is not a corporate PAC. Either way no public break exists over the money she actually took. That $5,000 from a prior cycle, with nothing in 2026, does not outweigh a halt-military-aid position that is her own.
