Tier 1, “Firmly pro-Israel”

Position

Led a September 22, 2025 letter to UN Ambassador Mike Waltz, co-signed by three Republicans, asserting that “Hamas, with the help of the United Nations, has manufactured the perception of a famine in Gaza to serve as a false flag to undermine the reputations of both the United States and Israel”; his release called it “a manufactured famine used to control a population” and said “terrorism cannot masquerade as humanitarianism.” In May 2024 he introduced H.R.8332, the No Student Loan Forgiveness for Antisemitic Criminals Act, which would bar students “arrested for engaging in antisemitic activities” from income-driven loan forgiveness, citing the campus-protest arrests and saying “If the woke university leadership will not hold these violent protestors accountable, House Republicans will.” His official biography lists “always standing with Israel” among his “seven pillars”, and he has voted the pro-Israel side of every tracked measure — the 2023–24 Israel supplementals, H.Res.894, the Antisemitism Awareness Act, the May 2024 bill to force the paused bomb shipment (H.R.8369), both ICC-sanctions bills, the Gaza casualty-figures amendment and the September 2026 anti-boycott bill — and against the 2025 Greene and July 2026 Massie cuts.

Why this tier

A clean 1. Two acts of his own carry him past a reliable-vote record: he led the September 2025 letter that called the famine in Gaza a Hamas-and-UN fabrication — “a false flag” — and he wrote a bill to strip student-loan relief from students arrested in the 2024 campus protests. Famine denial during the genocide is hardline rhetoric, and the letter's references to Gaza's suffering blame only Hamas and the UN, so the concern it voices for “the innocent victims of Hamas’ siege on Gaza” puts no distance between him and Israel’s conduct. Counter-case: 1/2 if a four-signer letter and a bill that never left committee are read as too thin to amount to leadership.
