Russell Best

I · U.S. House, NV-4 · not rated

Position

In iVoterGuide’s 2022 questionnaire he answered “Strongly Disagree” to supporting the BDS movement against Israel; no statement on Gaza or on aid to Israel was found. A northern Nevada mortgage broker and perennial Independent American Party candidate (governor in 2018; Congress in 2012, 2014, 2022 and 2024), he has no campaign website; he answered iVoterGuide’s questionnaires in 2012, 2014 and 2022 but left its 2024 and 2026 questionnaires blank, including the question on the U.S. relationship with Israel.

Why not rated

Not rated: his one statement on Israel is a 2022 iVoterGuide answer: he marked “Strongly Disagree” on “I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.” In the same questionnaire he chose “The United States has become too involved in others’ policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger.” He left iVoterGuide’s 2024 and 2026 question “Is the United States’ relationship with Israel important, and if so why?” unanswered. He has completed no Ballotpedia survey in 2022, 2024 or 2026, lists no campaign site, and his one located interview (2018 governor’s race) does not address Israel or foreign aid. Unrated until a position on Gaza or on aid and arms to Israel is stated.
