Ryan Elijah
R · U.S. House, FL-7 · Tier 1/2
Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Asked in his 2026 general-election questionnaire for iVoterGuide whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he answered: “It is very important. Israel has been a longtime valuable ally of the United States and provides critical information and stability in the volatile Middle East region.” An Emmy-winning former Orlando TV news anchor, he defeated Rep. Cory Mills in the August 2026 Republican primary for FL-7, after which Trump endorsed him, and runs as a fiscal conservative on taxes, spending, law enforcement and energy.
A 1/2, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer and one debate exchange. Asked by iVoterGuide in 2026 whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Elijah called Israel “a longtime valuable ally of the United States” that provides “critical information and stability.” That is unqualified support, with nothing on aid, weapons, Gaza or Palestinian civilians. At an August 2026 primary debate hosted by The Floridian, he said treating Israel as an ally “doesn’t mean a blank check” but “Israel is a key ally,” said “I do not support the two-state system,” backed Israel’s military actions against Hamas and Iran (“They’ve got to protect themselves 100%”) and called continued military support for Israel “an easy yes for me.” His site (home, About, Issues, News, Endorsements) and 2026 Ballotpedia survey contain nothing on Israel or Gaza, and his opponent’s releases say he backs the Iran war, which says nothing about Gaza. There is no leadership on the issue: no vote, bill or other act on Israel is on record. Counter-case: unrated until he says more.
