Sandeep Dixit
I · U.S. House, OH-13 · Tier 2
Tier 2, “Mainstream pro-Israel”
An Indian-American engineer and software-firm founder who once led a national Indian-American organization, he runs as an independent taking no PAC money, on vocational training, a basic-healthcare guarantee and ending federal tax on Social Security. Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Dixit answered: “It is important as relations with any other nation”. His campaign site’s January 2026 policy page listed, under “Israel / Palestine”: “Israel’s right to exist and defend itself,” “Palestinian right to dignity and safety,” “Reject terrorism and collective punishment” and “Support diplomacy and human rights.” The same four lines stand on his Local Candidates profile under “Diplomacy.”
A 2, on a thin record: four policy lines and one questionnaire answer, all from 2026. His campaign site’s January 2026 policy page listed “Israel’s right to exist and defend itself,” “Palestinian right to dignity and safety,” “Reject terrorism and collective punishment” and “Support diplomacy and human rights”; the same lines stand on his Local Candidates profile. Asked by iVoterGuide whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he wrote: “It is important as relations with any other nation”. That keeps Israel’s right to defend itself, but adds concern of his own, rejecting “collective punishment,” and treats the relationship as no more special than any other; it takes no position on aid or weapons, and his “Cut foreign aid” names no country. His 2026 Ballotpedia survey and current campaign site say nothing on Israel. Counter-cases: 1/2, since the Palestinian lines are generic, name no Gaza and sit in the same list as Israel’s right to defend itself; 2/3, giving the rejection of collective punishment and of a special relationship more weight.
