Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Runs on a “Standing with Israel & our Jewish Community” plank that pledges to “stand with America’s strongest ally in the region” and attacks “Democrats who had two dozen members of Congress shamefully portray Israel’s response to brutal attacks on civilians as genocide.” In his 2026 Ballotpedia survey he vows to “stand strongly with Israel, our strongest ally, and against demonizing Israel or Zionists”; he told JNS on August 31, 2026 he is “a true defender of Israel with a record of results.” He has been an RJC leader for more than a decade, per RJC's CEO, and a U.S. advisory board member of the Combat Antisemitism Movement since November 2025. In a September 30, 2026 interview with Fox News Digital he said “I can be a strong supporter for Israel without reservation” and “In my party, support for Israel is a feature, not a bug.” Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Singer answered: “Yes, the U.S. relationship with Israel is essential. Israel is our strongest and closest ally in the Middle East, sharing core values and security interests. Our partnership is vital for intelligence sharing, combating global terrorism, advancing innovation, and more. I will fiercely defend Israel's inherent right to exist and protect itself. As a Jewish person, I deeply value the bond between the U.S. and Israel as reflective of shared Western values and Judeo-Christian tenets.” At an October 20, 2026 forum with Rep. Jared Moskowitz at Congregation B’nai Israel in Boca Raton, he cited House Democrats who call Israel’s actions in Gaza a genocide as evidence that “anti-Israelites have taken over the Democrat Party” (WLRN), said he would introduce a bill to “ban any institution that receives foreign money from getting any federal dollars,” blaming foreign influence for the genocide charge’s spread among young people, and closed: “We need a leader who is unabashedly pro-Israel” (Sun Sentinel). At a second forum, at the Miami Beach Jewish Community Center on October 27, he said “Democrats are tired of the socialism and anti-Israelism that has seeped into today’s Democratic Party” (CBS Miami) and faulted Moskowitz for calling for a two-state solution after October 7: “I think that undermined Israel’s security. I don’t think we can even begin to talk about that until we clear out every damn terrorist and everyone funding those terrorists” (HuffPost). In a Florida Scoop–VIN News interview published October 28 he pledged, in VIN’s account, to oppose conditions on U.S. support for Israel and to write the IHRA definition of antisemitism into federal law, and cited his record as mayor of changing Boca Raton’s investment policy to buy Israel bonds. The Bond Buyer listed the City of Boca Raton in April 2024 among the local governments that had bought Israel bonds after October 7.
A 1/2, at the pro-Israel edge, not a clean 1. His record is zero-daylight: he rejects the genocide characterization outright, faulting Democratic leaders for failing to “confront or contradict claims of genocide,” backs Trump's Iran strikes, and has expressed no concern for Palestinian civilians in Israel’s war; his January 2026 nod to “the people who’ve been oppressed by 20 years of a brutal regime,” apparently Gazans under Hamas, blames Hamas alone — so nothing moves him toward a flat 2. What keeps him off a clean Tier 1 is that little leadership on the issue is documented: the one mayoral act is his own October 2026 account that he changed Boca Raton’s investment policy to buy Israel bonds (the city did buy them after October 7, per The Bond Buyer; his part in it rests on his word), and there is no fundraising operation of his own and no anti-BDS enforcement; attacking critics is positioning rather than leadership. Open to a clean 1 if a decade in RJC leadership and a Combat Antisemitism Movement board seat are read as organizational leadership, or if city records confirm that he led the Israel-bond policy change he describes.
