Sharice Davids
D · U.S. House, KS-3 · Tier 2
Tier 2, “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Backs Israel’s right to self-defense, voted the April 2024 Israel aid supplemental and the March 2024 funding package that banned UNRWA funding, AIPAC/DMFI-funded — but cosponsored the House humanitarian-aid resolution urging immediate aid to Gaza and frames peace around a two-state solution with Palestinian self-determination; in September 2025 she signed the Schneider–Raskin letter to Netanyahu opposing West Bank annexation. In June 2026 Davids signed a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, led by Reps. Becca Balint and Joaquin Castro, on Israel’s operations in southern Lebanon, saying Israel’s “targeted, mass destruction of civilian homes and infrastructure does not constitute Israeli self-defense” and asking that, if U.S.-origin arms were confirmed in those operations, the administration “stop arms transfers being used in these operations until these violations cease”; the letter also affirmed that “Israel has a right to defend itself.”
A flat Tier 2, resting on concern for Palestinian civilians. She has a reliable pro-Israel record — Israel’s right to self-defense, the aid-supplemental vote, a 2024 vote to cut UNRWA funding (though she later cosponsored the UNRWA Funding Emergency Restoration Act, H.R.2411, in November 2025), AIPAC/DMFI money — with no leadership on the issue. What holds her at a flat 2 rather than 1/2 is genuine Gaza-civilian consideration: she cosponsored the House humanitarian-aid resolution urging immediate aid to Gaza, signed the August 2025 Pressley–Pettersen letter urging Secretary Rubio to press Israel’s government for a surge of aid and infant formula into Gaza, and frames lasting peace around a two-state solution ensuring Palestinian self-determination. The aid resolution and the formula letter are humanitarian acts, not steps toward limiting weapons.
