Shelly Arnoldi
I · U.S. House, VA-8 · not rated
A Navy veteran and engineer, and the Libertarian nominee, she runs on parental rights, lower taxes, term limits, medical freedom and “Peace through strength without unnecessary wars,” and names Thomas Massie as a model of independence from PAC money. Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Arnoldi answered: “Our country should not be controlled by anyone who is loyal to a foreign country. Our national debt is out of control and American citizens are suffering. Our children should not be sent to fight and die for any foreign country. We need to fix America first.”
Not rated: the one statement on Israel in her campaign materials and questionnaires is the 2026 iVoterGuide answer quoted above. Her answer objects to anyone “loyal to a foreign country” controlling the U.S. and to Americans being sent to “fight and die for any foreign country,” but takes no position on aid or weapons to Israel, Gaza or Palestinians. Her campaign site, Patch profile (September 2026), Vote411 answers and 2025 Ballotpedia survey never mention Israel or Gaza; her anti-war line is general, and her praise of Massie concerns PAC influence in general. Unrated until a position is stated.
