Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

South Carolina Republican in her first term who sits on the Foreign Affairs Committee. Her one Israel statement, during the June 2025 Israel–Iran war, framed support in scriptural terms — “As written in Sacred Scripture – God chose Israel, and God's covenant with Israel is unshakable and everlasting” and “By standing with Israel, we affirm that covenant” — and affirmed Israel's right “to exist, to defend herself, and to live in peace.” In office she has voted the pro-Israel side of every tracked measure — the January 2025 ICC-sanctions bill, No on the 2025 Greene and July 2026 Massie cuts, Yea on the July 2026 State Department bill and the September 2026 college anti-boycott bill — and against every 2026 Iran and Lebanon war-powers resolution.

Why this tier

A 1/2, not a clean 1. Her votes are zero-daylight and her only Israel statement grounds support in God's covenant with Israel, with nothing on Gaza or Palestinian civilians, which rules out a flat 2. No leadership on the issue was found: her terrorism and passport bills are general national-security measures, none of her 16 sponsored measures concerns Israel, and a single covenant statement is not a hardline brand on Gaza. Counter-case: a clean 1 only if the covenant framing is weighed as a brand or a Foreign Affairs initiative on Israel surfaces.
