Stephanie Bice

R · U.S. House, OK-5 · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

Oklahoma City appropriator with a zero-daylight voting record: the 2023–24 aid bills, H.Res.894, the May 2024 bill forcing delivery of the arms Biden paused (as an original cosponsor), both ICC-sanctions bills and the September 2026 anti-boycott bill, and No on the 2025 Greene and 2026 Massie cuts. Her weekly columns say “Israel has an absolute right to defend itself” (Oct 2023) and “Israel has no other choice but to defend itself and its people” (Oct 2024). In May 2024 she likened campus protests to pre-Holocaust Germany — “Over a century ago another country began to take similar actions to what is happening in the U.S. today” — and backed House audits of “the foreign student visa program that has allowed students sympathetic to terrorist groups to attend the school.”

Why this tier

A 1/2, not a clean 1. Bice has voted the pro-Israel side of every tracked Israel measure and has said nothing about Palestinian civilians, which rules out a flat 2, but there is no leadership on the issue: no authored Israel legislation, no caucus or fundraising role, and her Israel commentary is a handful of weekly columns and press statements. Counter-case: a clean 1 if casting campus protesters as heirs to pre-Holocaust Germany and as “students sympathetic to terrorist groups” is read as hardline rhetoric — it targets protesters at home rather than Gaza, and it is a single column, though she also cosponsored the 2024 and 2025 Stop Antisemitism on College Campuses bills, which would bar colleges in federal student-aid programs from supporting campus events that promote antisemitism.
