Tier 4/5, between “Critical / conditions aid” and “Critical on most positions”
Her campaign's national-security page says “What is happening in Gaza is a genocide,” that “The United States is enabling and continuing to fund the genocide of the Palestinian people and it must stop,” and “I will be a voice in Congress calling for an immediate ceasefire, to cease funding to Israel, and for the elimination of anti-BDS legislation,” and pledges to take no money from “AIPAC, J Street, or any PAC” that conflicts with her commitment to human rights. A licensed clinical social worker and lifelong resident of the district, she is challenging Rep. Jay Obernolte in CA-23.
A 4/5. She calls in her own voice for the United States “to cease funding to Israel” while naming the genocide without hedging, and nothing in her record affirms Israel’s self-defense or a two-state frame. Ending the funding, defensive systems included, puts her at 4/5. It goes no further because it speaks to funding rather than to denying Israel weapons it buys, and it rests on a single platform page in a first campaign, not yet repeated elsewhere. Opposing anti-BDS laws defends the right to boycott but is not BDS by name, so on its own it does not question Israel’s legitimacy. Counter-case: a clean 5 if she repeats the stance or extends it to arms sales; a flat 4 if “cease funding” is read as narrower than all military aid.
