I · U.S. House, LA-3 · Tier 2/3

Tier 2/3, between “Mainstream pro-Israel” and “Pro-Israel, critical”

Position

In two near-identical August 2025 Bluesky replies to posts on an Israeli strike that killed journalists at a Gaza hospital, she wrote that she is running “to fight for Gaza and Ukraine! Children should not be stolen or starved.” She states no position on aid or weapons to Israel. A teacher and curriculum leader and a member of the United Houma Nation, she ran as a Democrat in LA-3’s 2022 open primary and now runs without party affiliation on insurance costs, disaster recovery, education, immigration reform and court reform.

Why this tier

A thin 2/3, on two one-line posts. In two near-identical August 2025 replies from her campaign’s Bluesky account, both under posts on the Israeli strike that killed journalists at a Gaza hospital, she wrote that she is running “to fight for Gaza and Ukraine! Children should not be stolen or starved.” Gaza is one of the two causes she gives for running, and her concern for its starving children, posted beneath those reports, is aimed at Israel’s conduct, with no ally or self-defense line beside it. She takes no position on a ceasefire, aid or weapons, which keeps her short of 3. Nothing else repeats it: her campaign site (home, policy plans, about, key issues, endorsements) and her 2022 and 2026 Ballotpedia surveys contain no statement on Israel, Gaza or foreign aid, and she left iVoterGuide’s 2026 questionnaire blank. Counter-case: unrated, since two social replies that pair Gaza with Ukraine are all there is, and in 2022 she declined iVoterGuide’s BDS question: “I am not yet versed well enough in foreign relations to have a stance on this.”
