Tim Kennedy
D · U.S. House, NY-26 · Tier 2
Tier 2, “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Visited Israel Aug 2025 on the AIPAC-affiliated trip (met President Herzog); co-led a September 2025 letter urging Rubio to work with the Arab League to end the war in Gaza ("This moment demands American leadership"); praised by DMFI. Called the “mass starvation of Palestinians” completely unacceptable — “no one should ever die of hunger, especially children.” He has also taken roughly $154,000 in AIPAC money across the 2024 and 2026 cycles and framed the Israel trip itself around ending the starvation in Gaza. On Sep 24, 2026 Kennedy signed a 72-member House letter urging Netanyahu to contain settler violence in the West Bank, prosecute attacks on Palestinians and “halt further settlement approvals,” written “out of concern for Israel’s long-term security as well as for the safety of Palestinians.”
A flat Tier 2, resting on his concern for Palestinian civilians. He has a reliable pro-Israel record — AIPAC/DMFI-backed, an AIPAC-affiliated Israel trip where he met President Herzog, ~$154K in AIPAC money — and he co-led the September 2025 letter urging Secretary Rubio to work with the Arab League to press Hamas to end the war, saying the League’s statement “creates an opportunity for diplomacy that strengthens Israel’s security, relieves the suffering of innocent Palestinians.” What holds him at a flat 2 rather than 1/2 is his own emphatic Gaza-civilian consideration: he called the “mass starvation of Palestinians” “completely unacceptable,” saying “no one should ever die of hunger, especially children,” and framed even the trip around ending the starvation in Gaza. He signed, with most House Democrats, the September 2025 Schneider–Raskin letter opposing unilateral annexation of the West Bank, but has taken no step toward limiting weapons.
