Timothy Long

I · U.S. Senate, Michigan · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he answered: “Blessed are those who bless Israel. Cursed are those who curse Israel. God bless Israel and the USA!” On foreign policy he wrote, “God has blessed the USA so much for being a strong supporter of Israel. Shame upon the Democrats for giving Ukraine so much money.” The U.S. Taxpayers Party nominee for Michigan's open Senate seat; he has no campaign site or Ballotpedia survey. CBS Detroit reports that his Facebook page says he supports the right to life, is against giving money to other countries when the U.S. is in debt, and thinks the two-party system is broken; the report names no country.

Why this tier

A thin 1/2. His only words on Israel are two answers in iVoterGuide’s 2026 questionnaire, quoted above: “Blessed are those who bless Israel. Cursed are those who curse Israel. God bless Israel and the USA!” and “God has blessed the USA so much for being a strong supporter of Israel.” That is unqualified backing for the alliance, in religious terms, with nothing on Gaza, Palestinians or any limit on aid. He has no campaign website, has not completed Ballotpedia's 2026 survey (nor its 2024 one), and the Eastern Echo's Senate guide lists him without a platform. CBS Detroit’s summary of his Facebook page names no country in his opposition to giving money abroad while the U.S. is in debt; in the questionnaire the money he objects to is Ukraine’s. Counter-case: unrated, since the record is two written answers.
