I · U.S. Senate, New Jersey · Tier 5/6

Tier 5/6, between “Critical on most positions” and “Most critical of Israel / supports Palestine”

Position

Independent (End the Corruption!) Senate candidate and longtime League of Women Voters activist, who ran for the Senate in 2020, the House in 2022 and the Assembly in 2023. Her platform says “I believe PEOPLE have a right to exist and cannot support ANY government that maintains a hierarchy of citizenship based on religion or race,” “I condemn HAMAS and their attacks on innocent Israelis” and “Unlike Cory Booker, I will NOT vote in any way to continue arming Netanyahu and I will not be accepting support, money or otherwise from AIPAC in any form”; her 2026 Ballotpedia survey names “the genocide of the Palestinian people,” and she told WHYY (September 2026) “I would vote to not send money to Israel.”

Why this tier

A 5/6 on a thin record. She takes the Tier 5 position in her own words and consistently: she pledges not to vote in any way to keep arming Netanyahu's government, would send no money to Israel at all, and names the genocide in her own voice. Her answer to the right-to-exist frame — people, not governments, have a right to exist, and she cannot support a state with a religious or racial hierarchy of citizenship — is a position questioning Israel’s legitimacy, though stated in general terms rather than naming the Jewish state. With one such position on a thin record, she is a 5/6; what keeps it from a clean 6 is the thin record (a minor-party candidate with no documented Palestine organizing) and framing that at times personalizes the assault as Netanyahu's.
