Position

Saying Morelle’s primary challenger Robin Wilt “lost miserably” for going after “AIPAC and Palestine,” she told the Rochester Beacon in October 2026 that “there’s a lot of support for Israel here. You can like that, you can not like that; I tend to be an America kind of girl, but I do understand there’s a lot of support for that community.” The Beacon reports she declined AIPAC’s support after the group called her; she said, “If I have to vote this way, because that’s what the community wants, I don’t ever want there to be a question as to why I’m voting.” At the October 29, 2026 News 8 WROC debate, asked whether Israel’s response to October 7 has been disproportionate (the question went first to Morelle), she did not answer directly, saying instead that “there’s clearly a lot of support in this community for Israel,” that her grandfather was Jewish and that she has talked “to the Muslim community as well,” and that “when it comes to the Middle East, we need to make sure that both sides of this feel that they have a place,” calling the two-state solution “the most supported diplomatic situation in the region.” A Monroe County legislator and educator running on the Republican and Conservative lines against Joe Morelle; her 2026 Ballotpedia survey and campaign site focus on public safety, schools, affordability and tax relief.

Why not rated

Not rated: in an October 2026 interview she spoke of her district’s support for Israel but stated no position on aid, weapons or Gaza. Her Ballotpedia survey, campaign site and launch coverage say nothing about Israel, Gaza or foreign aid, and no county-legislature vote on an Israel measure was found. Unrated until a position is stated.
