Zebulon Featherly
I · U.S. House, MI-1 · Tier 3/4
Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”
His campaign’s stances guide says, under Foreign Policy: “Zebulon Does not support using American Taxpayer Dollars to fund Israel’s Military” — “Our tax dollars should be spent here in the US, here in Michigan” (read Oct 2026). In a WCMU interview published October 14, 2026 he said, “I think we need to stop sending money to Israel. I think they are a bad ally, and I think they are perpetrators of a genocide in Gaza, and that is not okay.” An apprentice electrician and former wind-turbine technician from northern Michigan, he runs as a “No Party, Just People” independent on single-payer health care, a wealth tax, clean energy and ending political corruption.
A 3/4, on a thin record. His stances guide says he “Does not support using American Taxpayer Dollars to fund Israel’s Military” — ending military aid while leaving Israel free to buy — with no exceptions stated. The stances line names neither Gaza nor the genocide and gives a spending rationale (“Our tax dollars should be spent here in the US”), but in a WCMU interview published October 14, 2026 he went further: “I think we need to stop sending money to Israel. I think they are a bad ally, and I think they are perpetrators of a genocide in Gaza, and that is not okay,” adding that his quarrel is with “the Israeli government,” not “the Israeli people.” Neither statement addresses arms sales. Counter-case: 4, reading the line as a firm end to military aid.
