Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Muslim reform activist and Navy veteran running against Stanton. In a May 2025 Fox News op-ed he wrote that the only path to victory in the Middle East is “the complete and unconditional surrender by Hamas and the Palestinian people,” added that “The Palestinian establishment has brainwashed its citizenry. Nazi Germany did the same thing,” and, near its end, that “The delusion of a Palestine that replaces the state of Israel must die.” His 2024 campaign literature promised that “Supporters of the alliance between the United States and Israel will find no member of Congress stronger in his support than I”; his 2026 campaign runs against what he calls “Marxist-Islamist” Democrats, naming El-Sayed, Hamawy and Wahab, and says of Stanton that “He may vote with Israel but has never been able to prosecute the case against the radicals in his own party.” Asked in his 2026 general-election questionnaire for iVoterGuide whether the relationship with Israel is important, he answered “Yes — unequivocally,” calling Israel “our frontline partner against Iran, Hamas, and the terror network Iran bankrolls” and adding, “I will never stop standing with Israel, period.”
A 1/2, at the far pro-Israel edge of it. He holds no office and has cast no votes, so the call rests on his own words, and they leave no daylight. In a May 2025 Fox News op-ed he wrote that the only path to victory is “the complete and unconditional surrender by Hamas and the Palestinian people,” demanded of Palestinians as a whole, beside a Nazi Germany analogy. His 2024 campaign literature promised that no member of Congress would be “stronger in his support” of the U.S.–Israel alliance, and in his 2026 iVoterGuide answer he wrote, “I will never stop standing with Israel, period.” There is no expressed concern for Palestinian civilians in the record. What stops him short of 1 is that it is all words: no Israel measure written or led, a brand built on anti-Islamism more than Israel policy, and the sharpest lines in a single op-ed; campaigning against Israel’s critics is positioning, not leadership. Counter-case: 1, since the op-ed’s collective register comes from a public career built on the anti-Islamist case he now campaigns on.
